Investing in the Future of Sport, Leadership, and Community
The Ontario Sports Hall of Fame Student-Athlete Scholarship Program recognizes and supports high school student-athletes who demonstrate strong potential both on and off the field.
Launched in 2024, the program reflects OSHOF’s commitment to shaping the future of sport in Ontario by investing in individuals who embody perseverance, integrity, passion, and community. These scholarships reward athletic excellence while encouraging academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement, helping youth reach their full potential and make a lasting impact beyond sport.
Applicants with diverse identities and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
These scholarships may be put towards a variety of purposes such as tuition, equipment, travel to pursue sport, training, living expenses.

Proven success to assist in attaining the next level (e.g., Provincial, National, International Competition, World Championship, Olympics
Exhibits leadership on and off the field, reflecting strong character, accountability, and a commitment to positively influencing others.
Actively contributes to the development of others through mentorship, and shows meaningful involvement within school, sport, or community environments.
Maintains a minimum 70% average in senior-level courses, demonstrating dedication to academic success alongside athletic pursuits.
The Scholarship Selection Committee, comprised of the Board of Directors, Scholarship Team, and Advisory Council, carefully reviews each application.
Selections are based on a holistic evaluation of your personal statement, reference letters, credit counselling summary, and, where applicable, a virtual interview.
For 2026, up to five recipients will each be awarded a $2,500 scholarship.
Selected recipients will be invited to attend the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Community Celebration Gala on October 15, 2026, at The Granite Club in Toronto. Each recipient will receive two complimentary tickets (valued at $740).

Continuing its commitment to supporting young student-athletes, the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce the 2025 scholarship recipients. This year, two outstanding students have been selected through the Alliance of Educators for Black Students (AEBS), in partnership with the York Region District School Board and under the continued leadership of retired educator Charlotte Reid.
The Scholarship Program is made possible through the generosity of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and partners who believe in the power of sport to change lives.
As a registered charity, OSHOF provides tax receipts for all contributions.
